Meet Bayard Rustin. He was a troublemaker who spent his life disrupting racism and prejudice with nonviolent direct action. He was a friend and mentor to Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., and was unapologetically gay and Black.

With the support of Dr. King and future congressmen John Lewis, Bayard organized the largest civil rights protest the U.S. had witnessed.
