Storyville Reading Journal for Kids

$12.00

The purpose of this reading journal is for it to be a fun, interactive experience. Each journal entry should be treated as a mini “celebration” between you and your child (or student) for completing a book. It is my hope that children will crave story time even more once they start using this reading journal to capture their thoughts and feelings.
Every time a book is read, fill out a journal entry with the title, author and rating of the book. Not only is this journal meant to promote lifelong reading habits, but it helps parents, educators and children maintain a reading routine.

After your child (student) finishes the writing portion, have them draw a picture if they’d like. You can suggest that your child (student) draw their favorite scene from the book, or their favorite character(s), or leave it completely open ended. You may also want to challenge your child (student) to explore different artistic mediums or techniques in their reading journal.
Each journal has space to log up to 60 books and is 138 pages. There are also interactive pages that include activities like book bingo, word searches, lists and more!
